DownloadThe Blue Book of Basic Documents is a collection of governance documents for Girl Scouts.
Part of the 2023-25 Strategic Plan, the board-approved Long-Range Property Plan outlines the phases of improvements/changes at our camps and office locations.
Financial Assistance is offered to all members within our 15-county council footprint to help with the cost of membership, uniforms, programs, and more.
National Council Delegates serve as Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York’s voting members at the National Council Session. They engage and gather feedback from Girl Scout members in our council, learn about proposals, and take action to be the voice of GSNENY during the National Council Session. They then bring back information to share locally.
Starting in 1915 and every few years since then, delegates from every council across the nation and USA Girl Scouts Overseas have met during our National Council Sessions (NCS) to discuss, debate, and vote on issues important to the Girl Scout Movement and elect national leaders for the next triennium.
Council Committees are a great way to engage in strategic and high level operations at the Council level. Committee members include people from all walks of life who are passionate about Girl Scouting and want to be involved in the bigger picture. Committees focus on a specific strategic or high level operational part of our Council's work. Caregivers, Girl Scouts, Volunteers and Community Members bring their viewpoints and expertise to help make our Council's work of Girl Scouting the best it can be.
Every committee operates differently, at different times. Below is a list of some of our committees, which may be open to new members. If you are interested in joining a committee, please complete the form below and someone will reach out to you to discuss the details of the committee you are interested in. Thank you for your interest in making GSNENY the best it can be!
Find out who your Council Delegate(s) or Alternate(s) are or our bylaws. Council Delegates and Alternates are a crucial part of governance at GSNENY because they are the vital link for policy-related concerns between the Girl Scout members they represent and the governing board of the Council. They do this by listening to the members in their Service Unit and bringing any policy-related concerns to the Annual Meeting of the Members.
